The Sun & Crimson Invasion expansion set was released in November 2017 following it’s release in Japan. This set is the first to feature “Ultra Beasts”… cards that interact with your opponents prize card. The Crimson Invasion set also features 24 Pokemon GX cards and 13 secret rare cards.

The Sun & Moon Shining Legends expansion set was released in October 2017. The set features the return of “Shining Pokemon”… not seen since the Neo Destiny set. You can’t buy individual packs of Shining Legends cards… they only come in 3 packs, collectors sets, or trainer boxes. This set contains 6 “Shining Rare” Pokemon and 5 secret rare cards.

The Sun & Moon Burning Shadows expansion set was released in August 2017 and contains a whopping 169 cards (if you count the secret ones). The most valuable cards in the Burning Shadow set tend to be the 38 Pokemon GX cards, secret rare, and ultra rare cards.

The Sun & Moon Guardians Rising expansion set was released in May 2017 following it’s release a few months earlier in Japan. The set contains an amazing 39 Pokemon GX cards and 24 secret rare cards that tend to be the most valuable cards in the set.

The Pokemon Sun & Moon Trainer Kit with Lycanroc and Alolan Raichu was released in April 2017 and is the first trainer kit in the Sun & Moon series. The set contains 60 cards total… 30 in the Lycanroc half deck and 30 in the Alolan Raichu half deck.
Most of the cards in this trainer kit are reprints from other sets… Pikachu, Fletchling, and Fletchinder are the only original cards. Like other trainer sets, none of the cards in this set have rarity symbols. The trainer kit came with a rule book, a guide book, a playmat, a deck box, damage and status counters, and a coin featuring Alolan Raichu.

The Sun & Moon expansion set was released in February 2017 and the first to feature Pokemkon GX cards… it has 27 of them in this set. It also contains 14 secret rare cards.
