The Pokemon Black & White Trainer Kit was released in September 2011, a bit late for the 2011 World Championships held a month earlier on August 3rd. The set contains 60 cards total… 30 in the Excadrill half deck and 30 in the Zoroark half deck. There are 2 set symbols for this set… one for Excadrill and one for Zoroark. None of the cards in the set have a rarity symobl. The Black & White Trainer Kit came with a rule book, a playmat, damage and status counters, a coin, and a booster pack, and a deck box. It also came with a Trainer Kit Guide that shows you how to play a sample match.

Black & White Promo Set List

The Black & White Promos, also known as the “BW Black Star Promos”, expansion set was released in April 2011 and contains 101 cards. All cards in this set have the “BW” prefix appended to the card number. Promo cards are released in multi-pack blisters, tins, given out at tournaments, given to staff, etc.

EX Trainer Kit – Latias and Latios

The Pokemon EX Trainer Kit contains 20 cards total, made up of two 10 card decks… Latias and Latios. Cards in this set will either have a red (Latias) or blue (Latios) set symbol… and no rarity symbol. The EX Trainer Kit came with rule books, a playmat, counters, a coin, and of course booster packs. This kit wasn’t released in Japan.
